July 12, 2013 thru July 20, 2013

We’ll travel to the Nashville International Airport for our flight to Seattle on our beautiful motorcoach we call
“BIG RED”. And you can book your reservation in confidence, because with our optional Travel Protection
Coverage, should you have to cancel for a covered illness or other covered family emergency, you can get a
full refund with no deductibles.  More about this late-first let’s take a look
at all the adventures we’ve planned for you.

FRIDAY – JULY 12

Our flight out of the Nashville Airport will take us to our cruise departure city of Seattle, Washington. Framed
by Puget Sound and the World’s Fair Space Needle, entering Seattle is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
And with all of the excitement of tomorrow being “Cruise Day”  you might be “Sleepless In Seattle” tonight.
(Sorry, I just had to put that in.)

SATURDAY – JULY 13

Today’s the day.  We’ll head over to the port about mid-day and board our home away from home for the next
-8- days.    Just go to your room and unpack.  No more luggage to worry about for the next -8- days.  Just be
sure to be on the the deck about 4 p.m. and watch Seattle disappear as we begin our cruise.  (Meals:
Remember, all meals are included on the cuirse ship.)

SUNDAY – JULY 14

We’ll sail all night and will continue sailing all day entering the beautiful Alaska Inside Passage.  This is a good
day to get to know the ship and learn where all the nearly -20- restaurants and other shops and features are.
But don’t stay inside.  Enjoy the outstanding scenery of the Inside Passage.

MONDAY – JULY 15

Today we’ll visit Juneau, Alaska’s capitol city.  Shop the rustic shops in town or how about signing up for the
optional opportunities available such as dog sledding, kayaking, rafting, biking, hiking, go for a flight on a
plane or helicopter, or take the Mt. Robert’s Tramway for a great spot
to shoot a souvenir photo of our ship in port.

TUESDAY – JULY 16

Today we’ll enter the Glacier Bay area.  This will probably be the most memorable day on board.  It’s called
“Calving” when huge chunks of ice splits off a glacier and crashes in the sea, and the sound is like thunder
from a Tennessee summer thunderstorm.  You catch it on film and hope you got a good picture, but wait a bit
and it will happen again and again, and you’ll see it up close and personal from the decks of our ship.  Glacier
Bay has more active “calving” that anywhere else in the world.

WEDNESDAY-JULY  17

Sitka is my favorite port city.  The onion domes of St. Michael’s Cathedral are one of your first clues that Sitka
was once a key Russian settlement.  And, it was once one of the area’s most important ports. You might want
to catch a performance by the New Archangel Dancers performed by the Tingit People, then stand on the spot
where the United States took possession of Alaska in 1867.
THURSDAY – JULY 18

Exciting Ketchikan! That’s today. You’ve heard of the village with all the totem poles?  So much to see and do
here during your free time. You can travel to Totem Bight State Park to see the world’s foremost stand of
authentic native totems, or maybe visit historic Saxman Village to experience the traditional song and dance of
Alaska’s Native Americans.  Dare you sign on for a “floatplane” aerial tour of the breathtaking Misty Fjord
National Monument?

FRIDAY – JULY 19

No visit to the Inside Passage is complete without a stop at Victoria, British Columbia in Canada.   The ladies
on our tour will certainly enjoy all of the gardens Victoria has to offer such as Butchart & Butterfly Gardens
with 55 acres of flowers and 12,000 square feet of butterflies.

SATURDAY – JULY 20

This morning we’ll arrive back in Seattle where we will be transported
back to the airport for our return flight homeward.
