This is the tour you’ve been waiting to hear about.  We get a call or two each day wanting to know when the
brochure will be ready – well, here it is.

We will depart Camden & travel to Denver via our late model, luxury motel.  We’ll overnight in Kansas City the
first night before arriving in Denver the 2nd evening.  On the 3rd morning, we’ll board the Amtrak Zepher for
the first day of our wonderful train ride thru the Colorado Rockies as we make our way westward to California’
s beautiful coastline. A complete day-by-day itinerary will be sent to all who make a reservation for this
Once In A Lifetime trip.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Long buses like we use on our tours with 56 seats are NOT permitted on the Pacific Coast
Highway.  So, the motorcoach we will use in California and Oregon will be a shorter version which only seats
45 people.  Therefore, our maximum number of travelers will be 43 (this leaves seating space for the guides).
I suggest making your reservation early to be assured of available space on this tour.

The prices quoted on this brochure includes Amtrak’s Reserved Coach Car seating. We will spend two nights
on the train, one each way to and from California. Amtrak’s seats are very large and comfortable.
The seats recline and have a “pull up” foot rest (much like a Laz-Z-Boy chair).

LOOK WHAT WE’VE GOT PLANNED FOR YOU DURING THIS TRIP

the unbelievable Pacific Coast Highway seeing these lovely places, much more:

A)        Bodega Bay, where they filmed the movie “Birds”.  Visit the school & church featured in the movie.
B)        See the “Drive Thru Tree”.  We’ve seen pictures of this large redwood tree since childhood.  Well, it’s
for real and you will see it.  (Ok, we can’t actually drive the bus thru it, but cars drive thru it daily.
We will get out of the bus and walk thru.)
C)        Drive thru the “Avenue of Giants”; miles and miles of giant Redwoods hundreds of years old and
reaching hundreds of feet in the air.
D)        Have dinner in the unique Samoa Cookhouse in Eureka, CA. This is the last surviving lumber-camp

you will ride over them while enjoying a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

redwood tree is over 2,000 years old and has tour the United States by truck.
