traveling with this week.  There will be new friends and well as friends you made on previous tour with us.
We’ll overnight in Roanoke, VA (Dinner included tonight)

•        Sunday & Monday:     WASHINGTON, D.C.     Today we’ll head to Washington, D. C. where we’ll
see the locations listed on the front of this brochure during the next two days.  A local certified guide will
join us to whisk us around town and share their knowledge and wisdom of the area.  We’ll depart our
coach for several photo-ops of the attractions (Memorials- White House - U. S. Capital, etc.)  Other sights
will be pointed out as we drive by (such as the homes on Embassy Row).  Sunday afternoon will be our
time to visit the Smithsonian Museums.  Monday will be the day for touring the City.  Our hotel for these
two nights will be in historic Manassas, VA.  (Breakfast & dinner included each day).

•        Tuesday    MT. VERNON & WILLIAMSBURG, VA   Today, after our delicious breakfast, we’ll head
southward toward Williamsburg, VA where we will spend the next two evenings.  As we leave Washington
we will make a stop to tour the home of George Washington in Mt. Vernon, VA.
(Breakfast & Dinner included tonight)

•        Wednesday       WILLIAMSBURG, VA & JAMESTOWN SETTLEMENT     We’ll start our morning with
a visit to the Jamestown Settlement.  Our mentioned earlier, this is the location of our first English
settlement on the mainland.  We’ll enjoy a guided tour here.

This afternoon we’ll walk thru the streets of Colonial Williamsburg as it was in 1775.  As we take in all of
the historic sites & adventures, you may hear a Fife & Drum Corp coming your way, or some notables of
times past, such as Patrick Henry or Thomas Jefferson, may pass you on the street & stop and “sit a spell”
with you and talk politics or current events (1775 style).  After all, it was here that our Founding Fathers
laid the groundwork for our great nation.    Listen carefully for a young lady telling friends how she met her
husband, George Washington.  Folks like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington & Patrick Henry are
hanging around local taverns, plotting a free country.  Local costumed towns-folks gather at shops, the
courthouse, the churches and street corners, gossiping and sharing rumors of impending war with
England.  And, you are there!  As Martha Washington fields questions from a crowd, just down the street,
in the dark of night, a woman is being tried for witchcraft.  Care to be a jury member?
(Breakfast & dinner included today.)

•        Thursday:       MONTICELLO.     This afternoon we’ll visit Monticello, the home of President Thomas
Jefferson.  Lunch will be at the historic Michie Tavern, famous since the 1700’s and a favorite of President
Jefferson.  We’ll overnight in Roanoke, VA. (All three meals included today.)

•        Friday:  Unfortunately, we’ll have to head home. We’ll depart Virginia this morning for home with an
estimated arrival time in Camden at approximately 6 p.m. Today we’ll have time to relive our memories
made this week, watch a movie or take a nap while we travel toward home. (Breakfast included today.)
