LOOK AT WHAT YOU’VE GOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS WEEK
Departing from Camden at 8 a.m., we’ll spend today getting to know each other and letting the excitement
build as we travel to Chicago by motorcoach where we will overnight (Meals included today: D). You will see a
“Meals” guide at the end of the day’s events. “B” is breakfast, “L” is lunch, & “D” is dinner. Today, for
example, dinner is included in your tour price.
After a delicious breakfast at our hotel this morning, we’ll head to Union Station where we’ll catch the 2:15 p.
m. Amtrak “Empire” for our overnight trip to Glacier National Park, Montana. The prices quoted on this
brochure include Amtrak’s Reserved Coach Car seating. We will spend one night on the train (one each way)
to and from Montana. Amtrak’s seats are very large and comfortable. The seats recline and have a “pull up”
foot rest (much like a Laz-Z-Boy chair). Most travelers do elect to spend the night in this comfortable chair.
Pullman sleeper compartments are limited on the train and very expensive. Delicious meals are available in
the dining cars, also. (Meals: B)
Traveling overnight thru Wisconsin we awake to find ourselves in North Dakota this morning. Crossing the
plains, traveling over the spectacular Gassman Coulee Trestle, skirting the Missouri River, we soon find
ourselves in Big Sky country of Montana, arriving around 5:15 p.m Be sure to visit the glass domed
observation car for excellent picture taking along our route. We’ll check into our hotel tonight in Shelby, MT
and enjoy a nice group dinner. (Meals: D)
We’ll start today with a guided tour of East Glacier National Park on the famous, vintage Red Jammer buses.
After our tour, we’ll depart for Banff, Alberta, Canada, one of the most popular destination in the Canadian
Rockies. The evening is yours to explore the many shops of Banff Avenue and dine at
one of the many fine establishments. (Meals: B).
Today we travel the famous Bow Valley Parkway, stopping at Johnston Canyon for an easy walk thru the
canyon littered with waterfalls, then pass where the forest parts to reveal an outstanding view of the fortress-
like Castle Mountain. A short drive on and we’ll be at Lake Louise, known as the Diamond in the Wilderness,
and one of the most photographed places in the world. We’ll have an outstanding gourmet lunch at the
Fairmont Cheteau Lake Louise surrounded by glistening glaciers and overlooking the crystal clear lake. Next
on to Morraine Lake in a valley hemmed in by ten lofty mountain peaks. Next we’ll cross the Continental
Divide where the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean divide and into Yoho National Park with
some of the most sublime scenery in North America. We’ll see Takakkaw Falls, higher than Niagara Falls, and
Emerald Lake, filled with glacier run-off water that makes it glisten with the blue-green hue of an emerald.
(Meals: B & L)
Today, with cameras ready, we’ll drive one of the world’s most spectacular mountain highways - The Icefields
Parkway. We’ll see unsurpassed mountain scenery paralleling the Great Divide with opportunities to see elk,

blue waters of Peyto Lake and the rugged beauty of the Mistaya River Valley. Not to be missed is the
experience of a life – a ride of the Ice Explorer at the Columbia Icefield, which feeds water into three oceans,
for a close up look at 1000 ft. thick Athabasca glacier. Back on our bus we’ll visit the powerful and
breathtaking Athabasca Falls before arriving in the quaint mountain town of
Jasper where we’ll spend the next two nights. (Meals: B)
