SATURDAY – OCT. 13TH
Departing from Camden, we’ll spend today getting to know each other and letting the excitement build as
we travel to Lawrence, KS by motor coach where we will overnight (Meals included today: D). You will
see a “Meals” guide at the end of the day’s events. “B” is breakfast, “L” is lunch, & “D” is dinner.
Today, for example, dinner is included in your tour price.
SUNDAY – OCT 14TH
After a delicious breakfast at our hotel this morning, we’ll head westward on thru Kansas and into
Colorado. We’ll check into our hotel in Denver for the relaxing evening before the exciting tours begin .

MONDAY – OCT. 15TH
After a hearty breakfast, we board our coach for the beautiful little town of Georgetown, Colorado where
we ride on the Georgetown Scenic Railroad. This is an old-time steam locomotive chugging its way up
the canyon, hauling our train past the remains of several gold and silver miles. This will take us over
mountainous terrain requiring trestles, cuts, fills, loops and curves of narrow gauge track. Later today we’
ll return to Denver where you will enjoy overnighting again in this beautiful “Mile High City”. (Meals: B &
TUESDAY – OCT. 16TH
This morning we will leave Denver and travel west to our destination in Montrose, Colorado.
Our drive today takes us across the top of and thru the Colorado Rockies and has been called “One Of
The Top Ten Most Beautiful Drives In America”. The above picture was taken from our drive recently
thru the Rockies and along the Colorado River.. (Meals: B & D).
WEDNESDAY – OCT. 17TH .
Todays adventures include our drive into the Red Mountains This is known as the highway with “the
million dollar view”. The vibrant Red Mountains represents some of the most unique and colorful geology
in the San Juans. As we drive thru Ouray and head up the mountain, take a look back and you will feel
as if you’re in the Swiss Alps. You’ll enjoy the unbelievable views of Imogene and Black Bear Peaks.
Then on to the Silverton-Durango Railroad where we travel along the Animas River from Silverton to
Durango winding through spectacular and breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderness of San Juan
National Forest. Historic Durango offers you a unique blend of shopping and dining that can only be
found in this charming Western town. Then on to Pagosa Springs, CO for our overnight. (Meals: B)
THURSDAY – OCT. 18TH
Today, with cameras ready, we’ll ride the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, full operational steam railroad
jointly owned by the states of Colorado and New Mexico. This ride is hidden away in a little-known
corner of the southern Rocky Mountains, and is a precious historic artifact of the American West. Built in
1880 and essentially unchanged since, the railroad is known around the world for its spectacular
scenery, unique machinery and historic structures. You’ll enjoy seeing spectacular scenery and an
unspoiled landscape, as well as the historic railroad structures preserved on the line dating back to the
turn of the twentieth century. We travel into New Mexico and thru the town of Charma, NM before
stopping in Osier, CO for a hot lunch and then make our way to Antonito, CO. Here we board our
motorcoach at Antonio Station and ride through the spectacular and famous scenic Toltec Gorge Valley.
We’ll overnight in Alamosa. (Meals: B, L & D)
FRIDAY – OCT. 19TH -
Here’s another great day of “riding the rails”. We’ll ride the Royal Gorge Railroad along the tumbling
waters of the legendary Arkansas River deep within the granite cliffs of the Royal Gorge as we travel to
Colorado Springs, CO. where we will stay tonight. Dinner tonight is a very special one at the Stagecoach
Inn in Manitou Springs, Colorado. (Meals: B & D)
SATURDAY – OCT. 20TH
Today we’ll visit the Garden of the Gods, a registered National Natural Landmark located at the foothills
of Pikes Peak. . Afterwards we will head to the “real” western town of Hays, KS. (Meals: B & D)
SUNDAY – 0CT. 21ST
Today we start home heading back to Independence, MO where we will have dinner and overnight.

MONDAY – 0CT. 22ND
After breakfast, we’ll point our coach homeward arriving in Camden around 7 p.m. (Meals: B)
