we’ll sure need our energy.  (Meals furnished today: Dinner)

Tuesday – Sept. 23rd   -    After our delicious breakfast, we'll board our coach for a full day of adventure.
On our list of things to do and see today are:
A)        Duck Commander Store Visit.  The Robertson family opened this store recently.  We will stop by
with plenty of time to shop and buy that special gift for yourself or someone back home.   We don’t
guarantee a  “beard sighting”  but they are in the store almost everyday
so we might just get a chance for a photo or autograph.
B)        Follow The Beard Tour.   A local guide will join us and show us around a bit, all the while telling us
stories and tales of this unique family.
C)        Tour The Coca Cola Mansion .  We will visit the home of Joseph A. Biedenham, the first bottler of
Coca Cola.  His home was built in 1914.
D)        Tour The Flying Tigers Museum.  The Flying Tigers were trained in Monroe by resident General
Chennault who led them in service over China during the war.
Tonight’s dinner is at their newest restaurant in town, Willie’s Duck Diner.  Miss Kay is famous for her
homemade meat loaf, Cajun and country dishes, Seafood and steaks as well as Gator,
Duck, Crawfish and Ribs.  Bayou comfort food for sure.

Whew! What a day.  Now back to the room for a good rest as we leave for New Orleans first thing
tomorrow morning. .  (Meals:  Breakfast & Dinner)

Wednesday – Sept. 24th    -  All aboard this morning as we take you to one of the most  beautiful and
popular tourist spots around.  New Orleans. This evening we’ve arranged free time in the French
Quarters.  Maybe you’ll want to get some of those Beignet or take one of the
horse drawn carriage rides arounds the French Quarters.  . (Meals:  B)

Thursday – Sept. 25th    -. This morning we’ll board swamp boats and listen to our hearts pound as we
creep into the still waters of the Louisiana wetlands.  From the comfort and safety of our boats, we’ll travel
deep into the bayous and learn about the fascinating people who make their homes in the swamps and the
animals that live there.  Bring your camera and lots of film.  We should encounter egrets, white-tailed deer,
mink, nutria, and, of course, we’ve never been on a swamp tour without meeting face to face, eye ball to
eye ball, nose to nose, jaw to jaw with those “nice, friendly and handsome” gators.  After the tour, we will
enjoy a quick picnic style lunch before heading back to Camden. This afternoon will finish our memorable
journey arriving in Camden late this evening. .. (Meals:  B & L)
