build as we travel thru Tennessee & into Georgia. Upon arrival in Atlanta, we’ll enjoy a delicious
group dinner. Afterwards, we’ll settle into our comfortable rooms for the evening. We’ll need a
good night’s rest because our Monday is packed full of fun and adventure.
(Meals today: Dinner)
MONDAY—MAY 22, 2012
After breakfast, we’ll take ‘THE ROAD TO TARA”
“Gone With The Wind” Experience
And what an experience you will have as you step back into time and enjoy a day in the life of
Rhett, Scarlett, Ashley, Prissy and all of the Gone With The Wind characters.
LOOK AT WHAT YOU’LL GET TO SEE AND DO TODAY
Our first visit will be at the interesting Gone With The Wind/Road To Tara Musuem. It’s filled
with interesting artifacts, books and souvenirs that you will want to bring home with you.
Next we’re going to STATELY OAKS MANSION, the inspiration for “Tara Plantation” in the
movie. You’ll be welcomed by antebellum dressed docents and invited to stroll among the old
shade trees of Stately Oaks (Tara) while 19th century music fills the air. We’ll enter a cozy
restored one-room school house where we will enjoy a lunch served with grace and charm.
Lunch includes Mrs. O’Hara’s lasagna, Mammy’s chicken casserole, Scarlett’s pea green pole
beans, Captain Butler’s potatoes, Bell Watling’s fancy toss salad, Ashley’s plantation biscuits,
Melanie’s sweet ice tea, Mr. O’Hara’s fresh brewed coffee, and, of course,
Prissy’s peaches and cream cobbler.
What could be better? How about a personal visit with Captain Rhett Butler and Scarlett O’
Hara. And, how about a souvenir photo of you with Captain Rhett & Miss Scarlett. We’ll have
time to “sit a spell” in the rockers on the front porch of Tara and visit Juddy’s Country Store
before the docents will bid us a southern farewell.
Then we’re off to visit the new Atlanta Aquarium. It’s the World’s Largest and most engaging
aquarium. With eight million gallons of fresh and marine water and more aquatic life than any
other aquarium in the world, you’re sure to see things you’ve never seen before. After our visit
to the aquarium, well got another dinner included in your tour before it’s back to our hotel. After
all, as Scarlett said, “Tomorrow Is Another Day”. (Meals today: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
TUESDAY – MAY 23, 2012
After another restful evening at our hotel we’ll board up to head toward home. you’ll hardly be
able to wait until tomorrow morning to share your trip with your friends and family. We’ll arrive
