FLIGHT DETAILS The typical airline route from Nashville to Honolulu is to fly to Atlanta and change planes for Honolulu. That’s a lot of flying time so we’re doing it different. We’re taking our motorcoach to Dallas and will fly to and from Honolulu from Dallas, a much shorter and more comfortable flight. This also gives us the opportunity to “add-on” a mini-tour of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. More details of this tour are in the day-by-day schedule which follows. We’ll Leave Camden at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 23rd. and travel to Dallas where we will overnight for our flight to Honolulu on Saturday, April 24th. (Breakfast included at our hotel. Cruise meals begin once we board the ship.) Upon arrival in Honolulu, we’ll be transported to our luxury cruise ship where we’ll spend the next 8 days and 7 nights touring and exploring the Hawaiian Islands. We’ll cruise out of Honolulu at 7 p.m. Saturday evening & return to Honolulu on Saturday, May 1st where we will be transported to a luxury beachfront hotel right on Waikiki Beach for the evening. Before checking into our hotel we’ve arranged a tour of Pearl Harbor and an authentic Hawaiian Luau. But, more about that later. First, let’s take a look at our cruise. SUNDAY -HILO After sailing all night, we’ll arrive in Hilo at 8 a. m. and stay until 6 p.m. Here you can take an optional narrated motor coach ride past the famed orchid farms up to the rim of the active Mt. Kilauea Crater. You’ll see the Halemaumau Fire Pit, Kalauea Iki Crater and Thurston Lava Tube. Your last stop – the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory! Hey, did you know that “Gomer Pyle” (Jim Nabors) now lives in Hawaii and is a “macadamia nut” - farmer? Well, golleee!!! MONDAY – FULL DAY AT SEA This is your first day to really get aquainted with this beautiful “city at sea” The restaurants, the activities, the free Las Vegas style shows are yours to enjoy as we cruise the North Coast Of Molokai. TUESDAY – MAUI (KAHULU) We arrive here at 8:00 a.m. and leave at 6 p.m. On this island, You may want to take the tour to the Haleakala Crater. This journey takes you to the top of the world’s largest dormant volcano. At the summit is a vast crater measuring seven-and-a half miles long and two-and-a-half miles wide. The views from the top at over 10,000 feet above sea level are magnificent. WEDNESDAY - KONA Arriving here at 7:00 a.m. and departing at 6:00 p.m. this is one of my favorite islands. Here you can tour the historic city of Kona and along Hawaii’s beautiful sun-drenched Gold Coast. Stop at a Kona coffee house to get the “best coffee ever” to drink while browsing thought the shops. The breathtaking views at Kealakekua Bay and a visit to St. Benedict’s historic painted Church is a “must-see”. THURSDAY & FRIDAY - KAUAI Here we arrive on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. but we don’t leave until Friday at 2 p.m. We will actually overnight in port. It’s scheduled this way because there is so much to see and do in Kauai. Be sure to view the breathtaking forge of Waimea Canyon, often called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. This 10 miles long, one mile wide and 3,400 feet canyon boasts a spectacular array of rainbow colors mingled with the blues and greens of lush tropical vegetation. I’ve described just a few of the optional shore tours available on the various Hawaiian Islands. Approximately 100 or more will be offered to you on line and on board. SATURDAY – OAHU (HONOLULU) We’ll return to Honolulu Saturday morning, May 3rd We will be met at the dock by our motorcoach and taken for a tour of Pearl Harbor. And be ready for the time of your life as we spend the afternoon and evening at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu and feast on a traditional Hawaii Luau.
