Day 1: Thursday, May 19, 2016  We’ll travel today by motorcoach to Nashville for our overnight flight to
London.  During this time you will get to meet your fellow travelers and share the excitement of our upcoming
trip.  On this tour you will feel the vibrant energy of England, hear the unique sounds of Scotland and see the
rolling countryside of Wales on a trip that combines the exploration of dramatic history and natural wonders.

Day 2: Friday, May 20, 2016   London, England - Our tour begins in London, the cosmopolitan and historic
capital of England. Your day is free to relax after your overnight flight. This evening, join your fellow travelers
for a welcome dinner at an English pub. (D)

Day 3: Saturday, May 21, 2016    London    This morning see the sights of London with our local guide. View
the Tower of London, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the
changing of the guard (if held). The changing of the guard  ceremony at Buckingham Palace is not held every
day. If not we will still stop at the Palace. Tonight, spend an evening like a Londoner. Travel to a local
restaurant in the Soho district for dinner at the local favorite - L’Escargot, a landmark restaurant established in
1927. Arrive at a historic Georgian town house built by the Duke of Portland in 1741 and be treated to a
delightful meal of typical French cuisine. The ambiance is chic and sophisticated and the food is world-class.

Then it’s time for a play in the West End District. This area is similar to NYC’s “Broadway”.  Many theaters &
restaurants.  You’ll enjoy this evening of delicious food and brilliant entertainment. (B, D)

Day 4: Sunday, May 22, 2016 London - Cambridge - York    Today we’ll visit Cambridge, home of the famous
university which is more than 800 years old. Later, stroll through the medieval city of York. See the famous
Minster and walk on the “Shambles,” a quaint, narrow street that appears today almost as it did during the
Middle Ages. Here you’ll find great shopping and a street that is so narrow in parts that you can almost reach
both sides with your outstretched arms. Tonight you'll surround yourself in an old-world ambiance and the
fresh flavors of Yorkshire when dining in a family owned alehouse located in the center of historic York. Begin
by being treated to a tasting of five Yorkshire brews that includes a selection of ciders, lagers and ales. Then,
pick your favorite to enjoy with your homemade farm-to-table dinner. You’ll delight in the personal service as
you are guided through the menu featuring a variety of seasonal local dishes including the region’s famous
“Yorkshire pudding.” Take this opportunity to get to know Northern England’s budding farm-to-table movement
showcased during this locally inspired dining experience. (B, D)


Day 5: Monday, May 23, 2016 York - Borders Region, Scotland - Edinburgh   Today we head north through
the rolling fields on your way to bonnie (“lovely” in Scottish) Scotland. Stretching across the country you will
find Hadrian’s Wall which once marked the northern border of the Roman Empire. Stop to see this ancient
fortification that was begun in A.D. 122 to protect Roman Britain from the tribes of Scotland. Next, drive
through Scotland’s Borders region before arriving in Edinburgh, the "Athens of the North." Discover Scotland's
exciting capital city which is rich in beauty and culture. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)


Day 6: Tuesday, May 24, 2016 Edinburgh    The day is yours to explore Edinburgh on your own. Tonight, join
us for a rollicking evening of tastes, sights and sounds that are classically Scottish. Feast on a banquet
prepared from a selection of local recipes. Your taste buds will savor the true flavor and goodness of this
distinctive country.

Your evening will be filled with entertainment including Highland pipers and dancers, who deliver the very best
in Scottish music, song and dance. A highlight of the evening is the Ceremony of the Haggis, and, of course,
you may try this national dish. Be prepared for a Scottish night of food, fun and many fond memories! (B, D)

Day 7: Wednesday, May 25, 2016 Edinburgh - Lake District, England - Ruthin Castle, Wales
Our final stop in Scotland is at the border town of Gretna Green, where generations of runaway couples came
to be married. Later, return to England and travel through the picturesque Lake District. In the heart of the
Lake District, visit the charming village of Grasmere, home of the poet William Wordsworth. End your day with
an overnight stay in beautiful Ruthin Castle, situated in the north of Wales. (B, D)

Day 8: Thursday, May 26, 2016 Wales - Stratford-upon-Avon, England   Today we travel to Stratford-upon-
Avon, our home for the next two nights and birthplace of William Shakespeare, England’s most famous
playwright. Step back in time as we visit Shakespeare’s birthplace. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a one of our famous
MYSTERY STOPS.  (B)

Day 9: Friday, May 27, 2016 Stratford - Stonehenge - Cotswolds - Stratford    We’ll complete our visit to Britain
with a trip to Stonehenge. We’ll start our day at this mystical and fascinating site before traveling through
some of England’s most beautiful countryside. Explore the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds region.
Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a private farewell dinner at Hall’s Croft, a 400-year-old Shakespeare-
family home. As traditionally costumed actors perform some of the playwright’s most renowned scenes, we’ll
toast the end of a wonderful journey. (B, D)

Day 10: Saturday, May 28, 2016 Stratford-upon-Avon – Our tour ends today.  We’ll travel back to London
today for our flight home.  Our motorcoach will be awaiting our arrival in Nashville to bring us back to
Camden.  (B)
